Excellent Weekend
10/20/09 01:06 AM
The delightful Miss Janet flew in Friday night and we had some good times.
We went to the waterfront, took the tram to Chinatown, had a beer at Pogue Mahone (an English bastardization of the Irish “póg mo thóin” - “kiss my arse”), and walked down Yonge Street. Then we had an awesomely romantic dinner.
If you are ever in Toronto you must have dinner at the Fat Belgian on John Street, unless you are one of those weirdos who doesn’t like Belgian beer and mussels...
On Sunday we got up and took the ferry out to the Toronto Islands

Cottage living at it’s finest

Incredibly quiet and natural, but there are always reminders that you are in the city, even in the most natural parts

Disc, anyone?

It looks pretty tough, because if you miss, you might have to climb a seawall and wade in cold water to get your disc back.

Strange musical bicycle thingy, which uses theremins to make groovy sounds when you pedal. Look at the happy retard!

It was warm (for Ontario in October) and sunny. Those clouds in the distance are over Rochester, where it was apparently cold and raining - go figger...

We went to a nice French restaurant, then she had to go to the airport. It went by way too fast. sad.
